Greater Green Triangle GP Education & Training offers you quality training because the program is GP owned and driven.
Our Registrars appreciate learning from our hands-on approach, strong mentoring support and regular workshops. The Practices in our area provide a range of opportunities to gain insight into the value of GP practice, from small country towns to cities like Warrnambool and Mount Gambier.
Our Educators and Supervisors are professional, friendly, approachable and supportive.
We are passionate about training Registrars and aim to provide a wide experience and broad understanding of General Practice in Australia today. Our training addresses business understanding as well as clinical content to ensure our Registrars can practice anywhere once they are GPs, in either an urban or rural environment. We believe that Registrars should be treated as colleagues, working equally with the Supervisors.
Good physical facilities (equal to other GPs) are important and suitable accommodation is critical. Therefore our living accommodation and GP Practice offices are comfortable and of an excellent standard.
Our area is picturesque and meanders through farmland, country towns, pristine bush and a stunning coastline, taking in the Great Ocean Road, Port Campbell and on to the Limestone Coast of South Australia. The lifestyle is more relaxed than in Melbourne, yet close enough for frequent visits. The rural environment provides many positives for GP training -- procedures not done by urban GPs, a congenial environment and the care of generations within families. Clinical exposures include anaesthetics, obstetrics, women's health, industrial & farm health, sports medicine, Koori health, paediatrics and drug & alcohol medicine.
Our Practices offer unique opportunities to gain a broad range of skills and our Release Workshops are interactive, informative and provide a forum to address a wide range of issues. Greater Green Triangle GP Education & Training offers an enjoyable lifestyle with a high level of professional and personal support.
Our umbrella organization is GPET, whose objective is the implementation of regionalised and contestable GP vocational training.
