The historic and picturesque town of Port Fairy (population 2,500), situated on Victoria's south-west coast three and a half hours from Melbourne, is also within commuting distance of the coast's larger cities such as Warrnambool and Portland. Port Fairy is famous for its annual Folk Festival.
